Four seasons
„The Montafon is my luck and the most beautiful place in the world", Benedikta — the woman the house is named after — was certain of it. And we entirely agree: every season here has its own character. That is what makes every visit to the Montafon exciting all over again. Experience spring, summer, autumn and winter in the rhythm of nature.
Spring & Summer
When the snow-covered slopes slowly turn back into colourful alpine meadows in spring, the Montafon becomes a true all-rounder: until well into April, you can still carve turns on the slopes and enjoy scenic ski tours. Down in the valley, things are already turning green and the first hikes beckon.
In summer, nature shows itself in full glory: hiking and climbing tours, outings on the (e-)mountain bike to alpine pastures, the most beautiful viewpoints and high summits. And anyone seeking refreshment in the summer heat braves the swimming pools and hidden mountain lakes: our tip is the Wiegensee and the Lünersee — both named among the most beautiful places in Austria.

“My Montafon means letting go, breathing freely and being free in the mountains.”
Elisabeth Brändle
Autumn & Winter
As the days grow shorter, the meadows and woods dress in colourful robes and invite you to long walks and autumn outings into the mountains. A very special time to enjoy the beauty of nature consciously, before winter takes hold of the Montafon: then skis, snowboards, cross-country skis and snowshoes wait to be put to use again.
The Montafon ski region links five resorts with nearly 300 km of pistes and 73 cable cars and lifts. There is something for every level — from beginners' runs to racing pistes, from perfectly groomed family slopes to freeride spots with guaranteed powder.
